Performance Based
At our highest level of competition our teams are nationally competitive and are coached under the “Performance Based” coaching guidelines. The “Performance Based” coaching guideline requires that player’s be fully committed to attending all practices and tournaments while adhering to all team and club rules. Play time and position are based on a player’s practice and tournament performance. The evaluation of player performance and resulting personnel and team strategies decisions are at the coach’s discretion. These criteria are used to keep teams nationally competitive and prioritize the achievement team goals. Coaches will provide opportunities and will empower each player to earn their position and play time.

Competitive Development
At the next level of competition our teams are regionally competitive in both the NCVA’s Power and Area leagues. Players at this level are groomed to compete at a higher level of competition the following year. These teams are coached with the “Competitive Development” coaching guidelines. The “Competitive Development” coaching guideline requires that player’s be fully committed to attending all practices and tournaments while adhering to all team and club rules. Play time and position are balanced between team performance and each player’s need to learn a skill or position. This allows for every player to play part of every match although play time is not equally distributed. Player’s are afforded the opportunity to experience challenging game situations as they are being developed for a higher level of competition. Coaches will provide opportunities and will empower each player to earn their position as well as play time.

Everybody Plays
For beginning players we offer our Recreational/Development Teams. The goal of these teams is to teach correct fundamental volleyball skills in a low stress environment with a lower level of competition and commitment. Teams are coached under the “Everybody Plays” coaching guideline. The “Everybody Plays” coaching guideline requires that players attend all practices and tournaments while adhering to all team and club rules. Play time is equally divided throughout each match and players will play multiple positions throughout the tournament day.
